An early 20th century gold and silver sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The cushion-shape sapphire, weighing 3.30cts, within a circular-cut diamond surround, to the scrolling shoulders and band. Accompanied by report number 5775-2339, dated 18th June 2015, from the Gemmological Certification Services, stating that the sapphire is Sri Lanka origin, with no indications of heat. Estimated total diamond weight 0.65ct. Weight 5.6gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. The ring has been finished to a high polish. Band shows evidence of a resize. The sapphire is a light purplish blue hue, moderately saturated, with light to moderate surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. Two small chipped areas. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are bright. Some possible replacements. Stamps indistinct. Ring size M1/2.
