An early 20th century 18ct gold sapphire and split pearl necklace. The cushion-shape sapphire and split pearl bow, to the similarly-set bow garland and floral sides, with split pearl chain and rope-twist back-chain. Length 40.5cms. Weight 21.6gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Split pearls well matched. Two imitation pearl replacement. Several replacement split pearls, some are not perfectly well matched in colour. Areas of discolouration. Sapphires well matched with medium hue, fairly well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Principal bow stamped to reverse 18ct. Makers mark reads Dill, with heart stamp to right.
