An early 20th century 18ct gold opal five-stone ring. The graduated oval opal cabochon line, to the scrolling shoulders and plain band. Weight 2.8gms.
Overall condition fair to poor. Scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Would recommend attention to all settings as some claws deficient/significantly worn. Replacement half-band, slightly worn. The opals have moderate to significant abrasion. Four noticeably chipped. The two opals next to the centre stone have surrounding glue residue. The centre opal is a replacement. Only two diamond points remain from the diamond double spacers. Stamped 18ct. Ring size O. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
