An early 20th century 18ct gold opal and diamond ring. The graduated oval opal cabochons, to the old-cut diamond triple spacers, to the openwork gallery and scrolling sides. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Weight 5gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Opals white body colour, with a good play of colour, showing a range of hues including reds greens and blues. Opals in fair to poor condition with some abrasion and scratches to two opals in keeping with age, one opal is heavily chipped and cracked with a portion deficient. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds bright. Small light and dark inclusions can be seen scattered to each of the diamonds under 10X magnification. Diamonds in good condition with slight abrasions.
