An early 20th century 18ct gold emerald and diamond ring. The pear-shape emerald, to the graduated old-cut diamond and vari-shape emerald sides, with scrolling shoulders and slightly tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct. Weight 2gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band shows slight evidence of repair/ resize. One of the smaller emeralds is a circular-shape replacement, with more noticeable, darker inclusions. Diamonds well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The emeralds are a fairly well matched medium slightly bluish green hue, fairly well saturated, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Ring size L 1/2. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
