An early 20th century 18ct gold amethyst dress ring. The graduated oval-shape amethyst line, with rose-cut diamond spacers to the scrolling gallery and shoulders. Weight 3.7gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Amethyst medium purple, well saturated, with fairly good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in poor condition with significant abrasion, chips and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
