An early 20th century 15ct gold sapphire, seed and split pearl crescent brooch. Designed as a circular-shape sapphire shooting star, with alternating circular-shape sapphire and seed pearl trails, to the split pearl crescent moon. Length 3.6cms. Weight 3.8gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Seed pearls untested for natural origin. Seed and split pearls well matched with a creamy white hue and good luster. Sapphires are a well matched deep medium blue hue, well saturated, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions.
