BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An early 20th century 15ct gold amethyst and split pearl necklace. The pear-shape amethyst and split pearl cluster drop, suspended from a series of circular-shape amethyst and split pearl clusters, with seed pearl highlights and swag spacers. Length 44cms. Weight 11.8gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Amethyst are a well matched medium deep slightly pinkish purple hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Split and seed pearls well matched, minor discolouration. Seed pearls untested for natural origin. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Stamped 15ct near clasp and to reverse of drop, rubbed. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
