An early 20th century 14ct gold sapphire, diamond and seed pearl brooch. The circular-shape sapphire, to the similarly-cut sapphire and seed pearl foliate sides, suspending an old-cut diamond and seed pearl drop. Length 3.7cms. Weight 5.2gms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches and significant discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. The central sapphire setting is at a slight angle. The seed pearls have light nacre damage. The sapphires have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. Individual size and setting of diamond prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Estimated diamond weight less than 0.05ct. Stamped 585.
