An early 19th century oak and mahogany-cased 8-day painted dial longcase clock George Stacey, Worksop, circa 1820 The 13-inch white Roman dial with subsidiary seconds dial over inscription, the spandrels painted with waterside buildings, the arch painted with Ezekiel's Vision of the Chariot, the movement rack-striking on a bell, the case with swan neck pediment over bulging columns, the trunk having reeded pilasters flanking a crossbanded trunk door with inlaid patera, over conforming base on bracket feet, 88, (223.5cm) high.
Dial - crazing, otherwise good. Seconds hand replaced, minor flake to one winding arbor. Movement - Sound. Blocking to upstands suggests a marriage of dial/movement to case. Case - good condition.
