An early 19th century oak and mahogany-cased 8-day brass dial longcase clockSimeon Shole, Deptford, circa 1825The 13-inch circular brass dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and lobed 'Dutch' minute band framing subsidiary seconds dial over finely engraved foliate scrollwork and inscribed maker's cartouche Sim. Shole Deptford in blackletter, the four-pillar movement rack-striking on a bell, the mahogany-crossbanded oak case with decorated broken pediment over bulging Corinthian columns, fluted quadrants, long trunk door and inlaid base on ogee bracket feet, 87, (221cm) high. - Shipping Info
