An early 19th century diamond brooch mount. The oval-shape void central panel, within a rose-cut diamond surround, to the old-cut diamond border. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 1.85cts. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.25ct, J-K colour, VS clarity. Length 2.9cms. Weight 6.6gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. The central panel has visible glue residue. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. The diamonds are drawing a slight yellow hue, with small inclusions, some with nibbles and minor chips.
