An Austrian late 19th century gold enamel and gem-set bar brooch. The calibre-cut ruby line, with rose-cut diamond cross spacers and white enamel surround. Austrian marks. Length 4.4cms. Weight 4.2gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, minor discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamonds well matched. Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Rubies are a well matched medium very slightly purplish red hue, well saturated, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
