An 18ct gold opal and diamond ring. The graduated oval opal cabochon line, with diamond point double spacers, to the grooved shoulders and replacement half-band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1902. Weight 2.9gms.
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Hallmarked section of band is a replacement, main body of ring estimated as mid 20th century. The opals have red and green play-of colour, with light to moderate surface abrasion. Estimated total diamond weight less than 0.05ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Ring size L.
