An 18ct gold diamond single-stone ring. The brilliant-cut diamond, to similarly-cut diamond line shoulders and plain band. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.95ct, I-J colour, P2-P3 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham. Weight 4.8gms.
Overall condition of ring is good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Localised scratches and discolouration to the mount. Band shows evidence of a resize. Some areas of the setting show repair - the claws have been re-tipped. Central diamond is heavily included, with profuse inclusions visible without the use of magnification, some inclusions surface reaching. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are well matched in the shoulders. Ring size V1/2.
