BID ON THE-SALEROOM
An 18ct gold carnelian compass fob. One side of the circular fob set with a carnelian panel, the other side designed as a mother-of-pearl compass, to the curb-link chain pedestal. Hallmark for Birmingham, date worn. Length 4.1cms. Weight 17.6gms.
This lot is in good condition, with light scratches to the metal in keeping with age and wear. There is dirt to the surround of the compass and just below the surface of the glass. The hallmark is worn, so as to make to the date illegible. The working order of the compass cannot be guaranteed.
