A selection of three early 20th century 9ct gold gem-set brooches. To include a garnet and split peal brooch, an amethyst and split pearl brooch and an amethyst brooch. Some split pearls deficient. One with hallmarks for Chester, 1911. Lengths 4.4 and 4.1cms. Weight 5.1gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Two base metal replacement pins, one pin deficient. Split pearls well matched to two brooches. Amethysts each dark purple, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions. Amethysts in good to fair condition with minor abrasions, one has two small chips to the table. Garnet medium purplish-red, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions. Garnet in poor condition with a large chip and portion deficient, will require replacement. Two stamped 9ct. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
