A selection of three 19th century gold foil back garnet brooches. To include a floral cluster brooch, a pansy brooch, together with a cross. Lengths 2.1 to 1.7cms. Weight 7.2gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Brooches appear to have been converted from other items of jewellery, some showing signs of previous mounts. Garnets are foil back and appear well matched, medium to deep purplish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
