BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A selection of late 19th century pique tortoiseshell jewellery, panels and fittings. To include a tortoiseshell pique clasp, with floral detail, a scrolling foliate brooch, a selection of three tortoiseshell pique panels, a similarly designed regimental brooch and five further tortoiseshell items. Length of clasp 3.4cms. Length of brooches 6.8 and 2.4cms. Lengths of further items 6.2 to 1.6cms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Clasp with thumb-piece deficient. Some inlay deficient. Tortoiseshell in good to fair condition, with some abrasion and some small chips to some edges. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
