BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A selection of five early to mid 19th century memorial brooches. To include a foil-back garnet and woven hair brooch, a coiled hair and black gem brooch, together with three further memorial brooches. Lengths 1.8 to 3.5cms. Weight 22.6gms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Two with pins deficient. One brooch with personal inscription to the reverse, 'Ann Scott 8th Sept 1841 at 59'. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
