A selection of early 20th century gold and gem-set jewellery. To include two 9ct gold diamond cannetille brooches and a similarly designed 15ct gold split pearl stickpin. One brooch with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1905. Lengths of brooches 4.4 and 3.7cms. Length of stickpin 5.7cms. Total weight 7.7gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Some patches of discolouration to all. Base metal replacement pins to all. Diamond accents show light and dark inclusions which can be seen easily with the naked eye. Significant inclusions affect the passage of light through the stones. Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Split pearl slightly creamy-white with fair lustre. One brooch with a plaque reading 9ct. Stickpin stamped to reverse of the head 15ct. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
