BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A second quarter 19th century mahogany twin fusee bracket clock The 8-inch cream-painted convex Roman dial inscribed Thos. Saunders, Dorchester, the chain-driven twin fusee movement with shouldered plates, striking on a bell, the arched case with brass acorn finial to the stepped surmount over carved foliate and flowerhead cresting, canted edges, arched fish-scale sound frets beneath ring handles, and fielded panelled base with bun feet, 19.75, (50cm) high.
Dial flaking, re-signed. Movement appear sound, backplate unmarked. Case - finial possibly replaced, crack to roof, some losses to cresting. - Shipping Info
