BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A sapphire and diamond dress ring. The oval sapphire cabochon, to the single-cut diamond bark effect shoulders and similarly-designed tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct. Weight 9.9gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. The bark effect detail is quite worn in places. Two diamonds are chipped, one replacement brilliant-cut diamond. Diamonds fairly well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Sapphire medium dark blue, weak to moderate saturation of colour, significant inclusions visible with the unaided eye. Visible weak 6 ray star. Stone in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles. Ring size F. Stamped Petri, 14k. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
