A sapphire and diamond dress ring. Of bi-colour design, the oval-shape sapphire collet and old-cut diamond line, with openwork griffin motif sides, to the rose-cut diamond border. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 0.15ct. Weight 8.8gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general wear. Band shows evidence of resize. Diamonds fairly bright. Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Sapphire medium blue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Ring size Q.
