BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The cushion-shape sapphire, within an old-cut diamond marquise-shape panel, to the tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts, I-K colour, SI1-P2 clarity. Ring size P. Weight 3.8gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Sapphire medium to dark blue, well saturated, with good clarity and no obvious inclusions. Some straight colour zoning can be seen under magnification. Diamonds fairly well matched. Diamonds bright. Some diamonds have small dark inclusions which can be seen with the naked eye, one diamond has a fairly large surface reaching inclusions which can be seen with the naked eye, this may affect future durability. Stones in mostly good condition with minor abrasions, a few have slightly heavier abrasion and nibbles to some facet edges. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
