A ruby five-stone ring, retailed by Cartier. Designed as a series of graduated cushion-shape rubies, with diamond point spacers, to the scrolling gallery and plain band. Accompanied by report number 20025204, dated 8th September 2015, from AnchorCert, stating that the rubies have no indication of heat treatment. Retailed by Cartier. Weight 5.5gms. With Cartier case. It is believed this ruby ring was purchased second-hand from Cartier in the early1960s by Mary, Lady Stewart, following the publication of one of her books. Thepiece remained in her possession, until her death and has been maintained byCartier throughout.
Overall condition good. Light surface scratches to band keeping with general wear. Rubies medium to dark red hue, well saturated with scattered inclusions and minor surface nicks.
