A ruby and gem-set dress ring. The graduated oval-shape rubies, with colourless gem intervals, to the similarly-set shoulders and plain band. Weight 5.3gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. The mount of the ring appears to be possibly late 19th century, with replacement gemstones. Visible abrasion to the facet edges of the colourless gems, one of the colourless gems does not match the others and is a different cut. Rubies medium pinkish red, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and some typical inclusions visible with magnification. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Ring size O1/2.
