A ruby and diamond floral cluster ring. The oval-shape ruby, within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, to the pear-shape petal border and plain band. Accompanied by report number 5774-510, dated 17th July 2014, from the Gemmological Certification Services, stating the ruby is approximately 3.80cts, with gemmological characteristics consistent with rubies originating from Burma, no indications of heat treatment. Estimated total diamond weight 3cts, H-I colour, VS clarity. Weight 9.8gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds bright. Ruby medium slightly purplish-red, good saturation, with profuse inclusions that affect the passage of light through the stone. Some inclusions are surface reaching which may affect the future durability of the stone. Stones in fair condition with some surface pits due to surface reaching inclusions. Ring size L 1/2.
