A Queen Anne, silver Dog-nose spoon, circa 1710. Struck with maker's mark for Andrew Archer, no further hallmarks. Length measuring 8 inches (20 cm), weight 3.9 ozt (51 grams).
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some wear to terminal and Rat-tail. Seam visible between stem and bowl. Maker's mark only, this clear and legible.
