BID ON THE-SALEROOM.COM
A pair of sapphire and diamond ear pendants. Each designed as an oval-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond cluster drop, suspended from an old-cut diamond three-stone knife edge surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts. Length 3.8cms. Weight 5gms. With fitted case.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. The earrings are made up of mainly early 20th century components. The central sapphires and central setting are modern replacements. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Sapphires blue to green medium to dark hue, strong colour zoning is visible. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Earring backs with hoop back fittings for pierced ears.
