A pair of mid 19th century gold gem-set ear pendants. Each designed as an oval-shape garnet quatrefoil, with circular-shape colourless paste highlight, to the scrolling surmount and tapered drop. Length 5.6cms. Weight 3.3gms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. One tapered drop is significantly dented and discoloured. Garnets medium slightly redish-purple, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. With fixed posts for pierced ears. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
