A pair of late Victorian silver pepper pots, each of bellied form to a footed base and embossed with floral and foliate scroll motifs. Hallmarked William Aitken, Chester 1900. Maximum height measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), gross weight 2.12 ozt (66 grams).
Both pepper pots display some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Would benefit from a clean and polish. Some minor dints. Some slight flattening or loss of detail to the decoration. Remnants of pepper to interiors. The hallmarks appear partly worn but are mostly legible, makers marks are very worn.
