A pair of late 19th century garnet and diamond ear pendants. Each designed as an oval garnet cabochon, with rose-cut diamond star detail and suspended tassel, to the pear-shape panel surmount. Length 5.5cms. Weight 10.7gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Possibly adapted from a larger item of jewellery. The garnets have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. One has a small chip. One star is off centre. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Hook fittings for pierced ears, possibly replacements. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
