A pair of Indian Colonial? sauce boats, each with beaded rim, floral engraved garland decoration, flat loop handle and raised on an oval pedestal foot. Pseudo Scottish hallmarks of a thistle alongside a lion passant and the letter 'C'. Maximum height including handle measures 6 5/8 inches (17 cm), gross weight 19.75 ozt (614.3 grams).
Both sauce boats display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight surface dints and bumps. One sauce boat appears slightly shorter in height. This one also has a few cracks at the handle joins. Some slight rubbing to marks but they are still clearly legible.
