A pair of early 20th century 15ct gold diamond earrings. Each designed as an old-cut diamond, within a scalloped edge cannetille surround panel, to the later addition wire fittings. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Diameter of panels 1.1cms. Weight 1.7gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Later addition wire fittings may be a different fineness of gold. Diamond setting likely later alteration. Diamonds fairly well matched for cut and colour. Diamonds bright. One diamond shows a small dark inclusion easily seen with magnification, and a light coloured surface reaching inclusions to the girdle. One diamond shows no obvious inclusions under 10X magnification. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Stamped to reverse of panels 15ct.
