A pair of 1920's scent bottles, each with globular glass body rising to a plain silver collar and hinged silver lid inset with a circular tortoiseshell panel, with two faceted glass stoppers. Hallmarked London 1923 with maker's mark 'C & A'. Height measures 4 3/8 inches (11.2 cm).
Both bottles display some general wear, surface scratches and marks in keeping with the age and use. Some tarnishing to the silver. Minor nicks to the glass and some heavier scratches and contact marks. Hinged lids appear in working order, although one of the pins is sticking out slightly. One of the silver mounts is loose and can be pulled off easily, the tortoiseshell on this lid appears a little dry and there is a chip to the rim. The hallmarks are clear and legible, the maker's marks are partly worn. Some small chips and nibbles to the glass stoppers.
