A pair of 18ct gold opal and diamond ear pendants. Each designed as an oval opal cabochon, within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, suspended from a similarly-set surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 0.75ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham. Length 2cms. Weight 7gms.
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general wear. The opals have a dark body colour with bright green and red overtones. Both with a hairline fracture, one visibly going through the stone. Localised areas of colour by the fractures showing evidence of colour treatment. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are bright. Fixed posts for pierced ears.
