A open face 'Goliath' pocket watch by Doxa. Base metal. Numbered 784102. Signed keyless wind movement with club tooth lever escapement. White enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 65mm.
Movement is not currently functioning. Movement can not be wound and attempting to creates a very loud sound. Movement is worn with some surface rust and noticeable scratches and marks visible to the naked eye. Movement has a glass cover that is displays a crack running the entire length of the plate. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. There are some small cracks to the dial close to the 8 o'clock hour marker. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass has noticeable scuffs and multiple scratches. There are numerous dents to the edge of the glass. Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Case back shows heavy tarnishing and discolouration. Crown is not currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. This will require attention. Fellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any lots sold. Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
