BID ON THE-SALEROOM.COM
A natural pearl necklace. Comprising 193 graduated natural pearls, measuring 5 by 5.2 to 1.6mms, to the lozenge-shape clasp. Accompanied by report number 07855, dated the 1st June 2013, from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, stating that they are natural saltwater pearls. Clasp with Swedish assay marks for 1949. Length 51cms. Weight 4.4gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. The pearls vary in shape, some more round and others more oval, with flattened sides. Body colour varies from cream to light yellow. The display pinks and greens, blisters and blemishes visible to some. Slight scratches to the clasp, the swedish marks are clear. There is some freying to the thread at the ends and we may advise re stringingPlease see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
