BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A mid Victorian gold split pearl memorial brooch. The oval arranged hair panel, within a split pearl border and scrolling surround, to the reverse inscribed 'Captain Henderson of Stemster died Oct 31st 1859'. Length 5.4cms. Total weight 26.9gms. With associated case.
Overall condition good. Some surface wear, light scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. Replacement pin. Split pearls well matched, slightly uneven in shape. Creamy white, fair nacres with some surface blemishes. Fairly good lustre. Total weight 26.9gms.
