BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A mid Victorian gold foil-back emerald and split pearl hinged bangle, circa 1860. The front designed as a rectangular-shape emerald, within a split pearl and foil-back square-shape emerald cluster, within a raised rope-twist border, to the cannetille scrolling surround. Inner diameter 7cms. Weight 39.7gms
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Seed pearls are a creamy white, skins in fairly good condition, with blemishes to the surface, Emerald fairly light green, well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in poor condition with significant abrasion, chips and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. evidence of repair work can be seen Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
