A mid Victorian gold foil-back emerald and split pearl hinged bangle, circa 1860. The front designed as a rectangular-shape emerald, within a split pearl and foil-back square-shape emerald cluster, within a raised rope-twist border, to the cannetille scrolling surround. Inner diameter 7cms. Weight 39.7gms
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Seed pearls are a creamy white, skins in fairly good condition, with blemishes to the surface, Emerald fairly light green, well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions.
