BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A mid Victorian gold banded agate and split pearl memorial brooch. Of oval outline, the banded agate cabochon with applied cross set with split pearls, to the alternating banded agate cabochon and split pearl surround and a glazed panel to the reverse. Length 3.9cms. Weight 23.2gms.
This lot is in good condition, with light scratches to the metal in keeping with age and wear. The agates and split pearls are well matched. Split pearls have a good nacre, with cream tones dominant.
