A mid Victorian 18ct gold emerald and split pearl ring. The kite-shape emerald quatrefoil, with split pearl sides, to the textured shoulders and plain band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1868. Weight 1.7gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Emerald medium yellowish green, fairly well saturated, with typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. split pearls have a creamy greyish hue, with olive and rose overtones. stones are replacement. evidence of repiair can be seen to setting possibly stone missing from each shoulder Ring size O1/2.
