A mid Victorian 12ct gold pearl mourning brooch, circa 1860. The woven hair panel, within a pearl border and cannetille surmount. Pearls untested. Length 4cms. Weight 16.9gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Base metal replacement pin. Pearls untested. The pearls are well matched with a silvery lustre and minor blisters and blemishes present. Chips to reverse back panel. Located file mark to reverse of brooch. Small repair visible to raised cannetille border around the pearls. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
