A mid 20th century opal and diamond pendant. The old-cut diamond, set atop a heart-shape opal cabochon, suspended from a tapered surmount. Estimated diamond weight 0.10ct. Length 2.3cms. Weight 1.2gms.
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and small areas of discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. Soft solder visible to the tapered surmount. The opal has strong green, red and blue play-of-colour, with light surface scratches. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamond is bright, with small inclusions, visible with magnification. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.
