BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A mid 20th century multi gem-set basket brooch. The vari-shape amethyst, citrine, garnet, peridot and blue zircon, to the openwork basket and rope-twist handle. Maker's marks for Cropp & Farr. Length 4.5cms. Weight 9.6gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Stamped and numbered C&F, 6439. Gemstones well matched with good colour saturations. Most have good to moderate clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
