A mid 20th century 18ct gold sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape sapphire, within a vari-cut diamond surround, to the tapered shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Weight 4.8gms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Some diamonds are old cuts and others are single-cuts. Some possible diamond replacements. Some diamonds are drawing yellow, chip visible to one with magnification. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Sapphire medium light blue, weak to moderate saturation of colour, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
