A mid 20th century 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon, within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, to the openwork gallery and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct. Weight 5.4gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band shows minor evidence of repair/ resize. Diamonds well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Opal is a milky white hue with good play of colour across a range of hues. Opal in fair condition with moderate abrasion and minor nicks. Ring size O. Stamped 18ct. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
