A mid 20th century 18ct gold diamond and gem-set novelty brooch. Designed as a stylised Native American, with circular-shape vari-shape gems, circular turquoise cabochons and single-cut diamond eye detail. Length 4.5cms. Weight 21.1gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Evidence of soft solder repair to the reverse. Turquoise well matched. Turquoise bright medium blue, well saturated, with good clarity. Gems vary in hue tone and saturation, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions. Gems in good to fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to some girdle and facet edges. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds bright and lively. Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen with magnification. Diamonds in good condition with minor abrasions. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour and clarity assessment. Stamped LUCAS. Stamped 18K.
