  A mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum, ruby and diamond dress ring. Of marquise-shape outline, the alternating graduated cushion-shape ruby and old-cut diamond line, to the similarly-cut diamond sides and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 1ct. Weight 4.6gms.
  
  Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Diamonds well matched, bright and lively. One diamond has a small chip. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Varied inclusions, mostly small, few surface reaching. Rubies are a well matched medium deep slightly purplish red, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair to good condition with moderate abrasion and few minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Estimated dimensions of principal ruby: 6.4 by 5.1, by 2.8mms. Ring size Q.
